Updates to Boost Reading Texas and Boost Lectura Texas!

We’ve been listening to your feedback, and we’re so excited to share what’s coming for the 2026–27 school year. These updates are all about making your day run more smoothly and helping your students feel proud of the work they’re doing. Here’s what you can look forward to in the coming year.

New updates for the 2026–27 school year

Student-facing real-time usage

One of your top requests is here for Boost Reading Texas and Boost Lectura Texas! Students will be able to view their weekly usage minutes and work toward Boost Reading Texas’ research-backed recommended weekly usage goals, which have been shown to drive growth. Your classroom will spend less time tracking minutes, and more time on focused instruction.

Here’s how students in grades K–3 will see their usage (goal set at 45 minutes based on the weekly 30–45-minute usage recommendation):

Teacher Dashboard updates

We’ve updated your Boost Reading Texas, Boost Lectura Texas, and biliteracy Teacher Dashboards to make it easier to find exactly what you’re looking for in fewer clicks. The July release will include four components:

1) Improvements to the Boost Resource Library: A revamped Boost Resource Library will be located directly within the Boost Teacher Dashboard for easy access to optional teacher-led activities organized by subskill and filterable by grade.

2) Improvements to the Personalized Path view: The improved Personalized Path sub-tab within the Skills tab will allow you to see at a glance where your students are in their reading journeys and what skills they’re working on. Just select the Skills tab, then a student name to access the Personalized Path.

3) Updated navigation labels: Teacher Dashboard navigation labels will be updated to make it easier to access and identify data.

Dashboard (previously Insights tab) will serve as a landing page to view key Boost Reading Texas data takeaways across your class.
Progress (previously nested within Students > Overview tab) will display individual student data points and activity throughout the Boost Reading Texas skill map.
Skills (previously nested within Students > Skill View) will provide an overview of where students are working across the Boost Reading Texas skill domains.
Resources will offer teacher-led instructional skill activities and be embedded directly in the Teacher Dashboard.
Settings (previously Class Settings tab) will allow for class customization with closed captioning, practice mode, Curioso limits, and more.

4) Groups are now supported in the Boost Reading Texas Teacher Dashboard: Previously, educators could create and manage groups on the Admin Portal roster page for certain products (mCLASS^Ⓡ DIBELS^Ⓡ 8th Edition, Amplify Desmos Math, Amplify Texas ELAR K–5). This feature will now be available for Boost Reading Texas and Boost Lectura Texas, so that Admin Portal groups can appear in the Class dropdown menu on the Boost Reading Texas Teacher Dashboard. This enhancement is a direct result of customer feedback and will allow educators to be able to view Boost Reading Texas and/or Boost Lectura Texas for specific student groupings.

Teacher Dashboard updates (January 2026)

In January 2026, we updated the Boost Reading Texas, Boost Lectura Texas, and biliteracy Teacher Dashboards with new reporting options, to streamline and strengthen intervention support for your students.

Updates to the dashboards include:

Skill View in Trouble Spots section: Quickly determine which skills students need help with the most.
Monthly Growth reporting: Track student growth month over month.
Benchmark reporting: See student progress from beginning to end of year.
Skill Placement reporting: Understand how skills are developing over time.

PD Library

You’ll find plenty of professional development (PD) resources in the PD Library to ensure that your Boost Reading Texas and Boost Lectura Texas implementation runs smoothly. When logged into Boost Reading Texas or Boost Lectura Texas, you can access the PD Library by selecting the PD Library button on the left navigation bar.
