Literacy: For mCLASS Texas Edition and mCLASS Lectura, most submeasures take approximately one minute per student and are administered one-on-one. Group measures like Maze, Spelling, and Vocabulary take 3–15 minutes per class.
Math: A single mCLASS Math Texas benchmark administration takes 30–40 minutes and is completed independently by students on a device.
Any certified educator, teacher assistant, interventionist, or trained school staff member who has completed Amplify’s Launch training can administer mCLASS. No specialized technical degrees or external certifications are required. Training is available onsite or virtually.
Amplify offers a comprehensive six-hour Administration and Instruction Essentials for Teachers session for mCLASS Texas Edition and Lectura, and a three-hour Asset-Based Assessment Training for mCLASS Math Texas. Leader-training sessions are three hours. All training can be delivered in person or remotely. Ongoing self-paced resources, embedded videos, and Amplify’s full PD Library are also available at no additional cost.
After each benchmark window, teachers can generate a Home Connect letter: a family-friendly summary of a student’s reading or math performance. mCLASS Texas Edition Home Connect letters are available in English, Spanish, and 15 additional languages, while mCLASS Math K–5 offers Spanish translation support.
