mCLASS DIBELS 8th Edition is an English-language universal screener and progress monitoring reading assessment tool. It measures foundational literacy skills, creates instant groups, and includes targeted teacher-led instructional plans.

Connecticut data reporting
Through our partnership with the Connecticut State Department of Education, Amplify can submit your required K–3 literacy screening data to the state on your behalf, significantly reducing your manual reporting workload.
Follow this step-by-step guidance to get started:
- Ensure that your district is using mCLASS DIBELS 8th Edition.
- Obtain and return a signed Data Sharing Agreement. (See below for contact info and instructions).
- Contact connecticut@amplify.com to obtain a copy of the data sharing agreement.
- Sign and return the agreement to connecticut@amplify.com.
- Share student state IDs (SASIDs) and dates of birth through your enrollment source. (See below for Clever/ClassLink/Admin Portal instructions).
- To ensure that mCLASS data is successfully shared with the state, you must ensure that students’ SASIDs are shared correctly via your rostering method (Clever, Classlink, or Admin Portal).
- SASID numbers should be in a 10-digit numeric format, e.g., “0123456789.”
- The following fields should be used for sharing students’ SASIDs.

- Once these requirements are met, Amplify will pull your mCLASS data after each benchmark window and share it with the state in the correct format.
Frequently Asked Questions:
- I signed a data sharing agreement in the 2025–26 school year. Do I need to sign another one?
- No. Agreements signed in the 2025–26 school year are good through the 2027–28 school year.
- I am already sharing SASIDs in another field (sisID, Student Number, etc.).Do I still need to share it in this field?
- Yes. For Amplify to accurately share data with CSDE, students’ SASIDs must be in the correct State ID field regardless of whether they are already shared in another field.
- I share data in Amplify’s Admin Portal. Where do I enter SASIDs?
- In a student’s profile in Admin Portal, there is an additional section near the bottom labeled “Identifiers” which has a userStateID field. Selecting the pencil will allow you to enter the SASID for the student. This can also be done via a .csv file. For more help on the .csv method, please reach out to your customer/digital success manager or enrollment partner.

A measure should be invalidated, or deleted, when an interruption or mistake occurs that undermines the validity of the score. Examples include:
- The wrong student was assessed.
- An intercom or fire drill interrupted the assessment.
- Errors occurred in scoring that can’t easily be corrected.
Review the instructions for invalidating a measure during or after benchmark administration.
